Let battle commence with Apple Neo (update)

With the recent launch of the Macbook Neo, I was on the verge of getting my first Apple device, just to experience the world of Mac OS. Why you may ask?, well as I have written about before Windows 11 is going through a bad patch.

January & February were not good for Windows Updates. It was hit and miss for Windows users, you may have lost your wi-fi, had issues with Outlook Classic or simply lost access to your device.

Windows 11 has continued to be the vehicle to continue to ply CoPilot to every user on the planet. Microsoft has been struggling with CoPilot revenues (along with other major AI players) and at the end of the day we just want Windows 11 finished with a half decent user experience.

So really that is why MacBook Neo really appealed to me, however since having a look at the Neo in my local store, Windows OEM's have reacted it seems to Apple's full frontal attack on the market, and I thought I would let you know about it.

The disrupter £599 for a MacBook Pro

However this week the OEM's have hit back!   On Amazon the Lenovo Slim 3x which is a Snapdragon X with 16gb memory, a 15.3 inch WUXGA Screen and 512 Gb storage now lands at the same £599 as the Neo. Of course as a CoPilot+PC this device will have a 45 TOPS  NPU in it as well.

In spec terms this will be more powerful than the Neo, and with the 16gb you will not be reduced to memory swap once your 8gb has been eaten up.

Also added to this HP have slashed some prices on the Omnibook range, as 14 inch display with AMD Ryzen A5 and 512gb storage makes another enticing offer with upto 57% off at the moment from HP!

Could Microsoft have something up there sleeves with Surface Laptop 7 13 inch ? Perhaps a killer promotion to clear out stock before the next gen Snapdragon chips hit the market in the fall?   Lets keep the eyes peeled !
